Who we are.
At StudioFab, design is about more than form and finish — it’s about how life unfolds within a space. We create environments that feel effortless, where every detail has purpose, and daily rituals are elevated into quiet moments of joy.
Our work is rooted in frictionless living. Spaces that flow, where natural light, crafted textures, and considered details come together to support the way people actually live. We believe luxury lies not in excess, but in authenticity — in stone left true, timber that tells its own story, and craftsmanship that feels both timeless and personal.
Every project is an exploration of the eclectic: heritage and modernity, raw and refined, bold statement and subtle gesture. We bring these layers together to create homes and retreats that are deeply functional, emotionally resonant, and uniquely their own.
At its heart, our design philosophy is simple — spaces should enrich life. They should support connection, wellbeing, and a sense of sanctuary. That’s what drives us: crafting environments where people feel not only comfortable, but truly at home.
StudioFab. Contemporary country. Authentic. Crafted for life on the land
Mathew Dalby - Co-Founder
Mathew Dalby was born in the Yorkshire Dales, where the rugged beauty of the landscape instilled in him a lifelong affinity for natural materials in their purest form. Stone, timber, and light have remained the foundation of his design language—an approach that balances restraint with timeless elegance.
With over 30 years honing his craft across construction, interiors, and architecture, Mathew has developed a rare depth of knowledge. He understands not only the tactile qualities of texture, form, and materiality, but also the subtler layers of temperature, atmosphere, and rhythm that transform buildings into living, breathing spaces. His work reflects an intuitive grasp of how spaces feel as much as how they look.
Mathew’s career has spanned the globe, from the Yorkshire countryside to London’s Mayfair, Miami, Hong Kong, and Sydney. He has collaborated with cultural icons, shaped luxury hotels and residences, and led award-winning projects recognised for both design innovation and market impact. Whether crafting boutique retreats or landmark residences, his focus remains on creating sanctuaries of enduring beauty—spaces that connect people to place through elegance, warmth, and authenticity.
Today, Mathew continues to redefine contemporary luxury, weaving heritage and modernity into every project.
